Applications OPEN for 2026 School Year

Being a senior in high school means you've already studied many long hours and now you're getting ready for the next step. To help our members with the growing cost of higher education, BHCCU is once again awarding a total of four $5,000 scholarships to this year's high school seniors. We encourage you to apply today!


  • Scholarship applications are available below in both printable PDF and fillable PDF format for your convenience. Each applicant needs to complete one application document.

  • Eligible applicants include seniors at high schools in Rock, Dane, Jefferson, Walworth, Green, Kenosha, Racine, and Waukesha counties in Wisconsin, as well as Winnebago, Boone, and McHenry counties in Illinois. 
  • Applicants must be members of the credit union to be eligible.
  • Applications must be received by midnight on February 25, 2026, for consideration. The Scholarship Committee will review all applications to select the recipients.

Ready to submit your application?
All application materials must be uploaded by midnight on February 25, 2026, to our Secure File Upload. Fill out the secure upload form and attach your application materials. All submitted files, including application, transcript and video should be titled with applicant’s name. Late and incomplete entries will not be accepted.
Applicant must submit:
  • Completed application including a listing of all Volunteer & Community Involvement, Awards & Honors, Extracurricular & Leadership Activities, and a brief description of how you balance your responsibilities (school, work, community, and personal life).
  • A high school transcript that includes your GPA from the end of the most recent school year.
  • Bring your story to life in the way that suits you best! Choose one of the following creative formats to answer this question: “What’s your favorite part of your community, and why is it special to you?” Think about a place, event or tradition that truly captures what you love about where you live. Share why it matters, - maybe it’s helped you grow, brought people together, or made you feel more connected to those around you.
    • Pick one way to express what your community means to you by:
      • Submitting a short video (up to 3 minutes)
      • Writing a creative, heartfelt essay (max 2 pages)
      • Designing a visual poster that speaks volumes
