Please be aware, in the past, automatic payments (ACH) could take a day or two to come out of your account. As of September 15, 2017, funds can come out of your account the same day that you authorize them. ACH debits include electronic payments, automatic drafts, paper check conversions, or any electronic withdrawal from your account.
Many merchants and billing companies may offer the option to make a same-day electronic payment, such as to pay a bill or to transfer funds. This change will result in faster and sometimes immediate clearing of ACH payments and/or checks. To ensure that payments are posted as expected and do not result in returned items and fees, make sure funds are available at the time of your payment.
