Local First Celebrates Community Impact
Each year, Blackhawk Community Credit Union employees nominate nonprofit organizations making a meaningful difference in our communities. Those nominations are shared in a staff survey, where employees vote to select the next Local First Credit Card recipient. It’s a tradition that reflects our commitment to people helping people and ensures our community giving supports causes that matter to our team.
Our 2026 Local First Credit Card Premier Partner is...

VetsRoll is a nonprofit organization that honors and thanks WWII & Korean War Veterans and Rosie-the-Riveters for their service and sacrifices by providing all-expense-paid, multi-day trips to Washington, D.C. to visit the memorials built in their honor.
- Through this partnership, BHCCU provides financial support to help VetsRoll continue its mission of honoring America’s veterans. Every new or transferred Local First Credit Card helps make an impact, with a donation tied to card growth throughout the year. Together, we’re turning everyday banking into an opportunity to give back and make a difference close to home.
