Blackhawk Community Credit Union's top priorities are you, our members, employees, and our community. We are here for you during these unprecedented times. COVID-19 is impacting many lives and leaving many questions in its wake. Your accounts are safe at Blackhawk, and together we will get through this. We have created this page as a resource to provide you updates about our services and the help we can offer during this time.

Navigating Financial Challenges

If you are facing financial challenges and need assistance, we are here to help. We have new relief programs to help you meet your financial responsibilities and will work with you one-on-one. For immediate assistance, please fill out this application.
  • Payment deferrals up to 90 days on consumer, mortgage and small business loans
  • Suspension of foreclosure activity on homes and new automobile repossession activities for 60 days
  • Temporary payment relief assistance and waived fees for consumer and small business credit cards
  • As always, we offer Lines of Credit, Signature Loans, and Kwik Cash options to help you obtain the funds you need now at low interest rates
We will evaluate every option for its availability and viability on an individual, case-by-case basis.

  • The US Government will be issuing financial relief to Americans in the form of stimulus payments to qualified individuals. To set up direct deposit of your check, communicate only with the IRS at You only need to do this if you didn't give the IRS your bank or credit union information on your 2018 or 2019 tax return. This is the ONLY place to communicate this information to the IRS. Never respond to any inquiries via email, text, or call.

At Blackhawk Community Credit Union, we take your physical and financial health very seriously. As COVID-19 rapidly evolves, we want to ensure you're taking the proper precautions to protect your finances. 

Many financial institutions are moving toward online services to help their members and scammers will take advantage of this situation. Please be aware of any suspicious emails, texts, or calls you may receive. If you get an email claiming to be from the World Health Organization (WHO) or the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), don't click on any links. If you wish to find accurate information from either of these organizations, please visit their websites directly.

Below is a listing of efforts we have implemented in order to maintain a safe environment for the health and safety of our staff, members, and our communities.

  • Installing plexiglass protective shields at each teller station and in member advisor offices.
  • Requiring all staff (vaccinated and unvaccinated) and members to wear masks. We strongly encourage our members (vaccinated and unvaccinated) to wear masks. If you do not have a mask, a single-use one will be provided for you.
  • Monitoring the number of people in each branch at any given time.
  • Continuing to offer our expanded drive-up services to enable you to transact in a convenient and safe way.
  • Placing anti-bacterial wraps on all common touch-points and changing them out regularly.
  • Restricting in-person traffic with floor markers to allow for proper social distancing.
  • Cleaning high contact points regularly.
  • Stationing door greeters at our doors to help with direction.
  • Sanitizing all pens and signature pads.

We want to do everything we can to maintain your health and safety while still providing you with smart advice and friendly service and we encourage you to continue to use our online and mobile services.   • Online/Mobile Banking: Our online banking and mobile banking app allow you to manage your accounts from the comfort of your own home. With online and mobile banking, you can view balances, make transfers, pay bills, send money, deposit checks, and much more.
  • Online Banking Tutorials: We have compiled helpful, 1 minute tutorials to help you through any obstacle you run into with online banking from logging in for the first time to learning how to pay your bills online. Click here for the video tutorials.
  • Mobile Deposit: Our mobile app makes it easy to deposit your checks. 
    • You can take advantage of mobile deposit up to $2,500 per day
    • To ensure fast deposit of your funds, please endorse the back of the check with your signature and the language "For mobile deposit only to BHCCU"
    • Treasury checks cannot be deposited this way
  • Debit Cards & ATMs: Our debit cards give you easy access to your checking account and can be issued in the drive-up. In addition, our ATMs are available 24/7 for your convenience. Click here for our ATM locator
The high volume of members checking for their stimulus check deposit online has the potential for you to experience intermittent service. It may also impact other online and mobile services such as bill pay. Our provider is working to enhance the service and increase capacity. Manage Your Money From Home

We offer lots of ways you can still manage your money from home. Were you thinking about applying for a loan or opening up a youth savings account for your child before COVID-19? You still can. We're here for you no matter what. 

  • Direct Deposit: Receive your payroll, Social Security, pension, or government check automatically and on time with direct deposit. Your deposit will be sent electronically directly into your account. 
  • Mobile Deposit: The mobile deposit feature in our mobile app is so easy. Just snap a picture of the front and back of your check and hit deposit!
  • Internal Transfers: You can transfer from your savings to your checking with ease by simply clicking the transfer button on your online and mobile banking. It's also easy to transfer to other members of Blackhawk. 
  • External Transfers: It's as easy as 1, 2, 3! 1. Add an external account, 2. Verify your account with two micro-deposits made to your other financial institution, and 3. Transfer the money. Click here for more details. 
  • Apply Today: You can easily fill out an application to open an account or to apply for a loan or credit card online. 
  • Mobile Chat: We're here for you in more ways than one. We want to make it easy for you to get the answers you need when you need them, so we're using secure chats through our mobile app. It's easy! Your deposits are safe at Blackhawk. The credit union is safe and sound. In addition, as a financial institution, Blackhawk is federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), which is a government agency.

Support For Your Loans

**Important Update: We've resumed assessing late charges on loans effective July 1, 2020.

Your loans are safe at Blackhawk. We have the proper measures in place to handle your requests. You might experience more delays than normal, but rest assured, we will be able to help whether you're inquiring about a current loan or looking to apply for a new loan with us. Lending and new account appointments for all branches will be handled via phone. We can also take loan payments via phone. Just give us a call. A member advisor will reach out to you and guide you through completing your application and/or closing documents online. You can always upload secure files for your mortgage loan officer or member advisor here.
