Blackhawk Community Credit Union understands the importance of protecting the privacy of our members and safeguarding your personal and financial information, and makes this policy one of it's highest priorities. We value the relationship we have with our members and web site visitors, and are committed to responsible information handling practices. This Privacy Statement explains BCCU's practices with respect to the collection and protection of your information and addresses your concerns regarding the disclosure of personal and other information to third parties. We recognize our responsibility to keep the information you provide to us secure and confidential. However, as a member, you also have a responsibility to safeguard your financial information.

Blackhawk Community Credit Union defines "personal information" as any and all of the information specific to you that you personally submit to us over the Internet or any other channel. This includes your name, address, phone number, birth date, e-mail address, and other information you may supply when you open a new account. We protect personally identifiable information.

Blackhawk Community Credit Union will protect your personal information by maintaining strong security controls to ensure member information in our files and computers is protected.

Blackhawk Community Credit Union will permit only authorized employees who are trained in the proper handling of member information, to have access to that information. Employees who violate our Privacy Policy will be subject to our normal disciplinary process.

Blackhawk Community Credit Union will attempt to keep member information complete, up-to-date, and accurate. We will tell our members how and where to conveniently access their account information (except when we're prohibited by law) and how to notify us about errors which we will promptly correct.

Blackhawk Community Credit Union understands that keeping your personal financial information secure is one of our most important responsibilities. Our employees access information about you when needed to maintain your accounts or otherwise meet your needs. Blackhawk Community Credit Union has strict compliance guidelines, and will only partner with businesses that follow strict confidentiality requirements. The partners that we select are necessary to the financial stability of the credit union, and also enhance the products and services for our members. We do not sell or provide personal, non-public information to third parties for independent use.

Visitors to the Blackhawk Community Credit Union web site remain anonymous. We do not collect identifying information about visitors to our site. We do use standard web site software to collect non-identifying information about our visitors, such as Date and Time, IP Address, and the type of web browser used.

Any information that is sent to Blackhawk Community Credit Union via e-mail or through our web site is used internally and is not sold to outside organizations.
